The Happy Couple

Hello and welcome to our soppy shrine of love (vomit bags at the ready, it’s going to be a bumpy ride)! On this website you will find a bit about us, our wedding day, and you can RSVP too to save on stamps/faff, technology these days eh!

Tom Lewis

Age: 31
Likes: Chelsea, Chicken, Cheesecake…and Jess (of course).
Dislikes: The monsters that put pineapple on pizza (you know who you are) and getting up early.

Jess Latham

Age: 31
Likes: Rubbish television, snacky snacks and penguins.
Dislikes: Moth’s…They’re just dust!

Our Love Story

How We Met

Tom and Jess met in Sixth Form. They both went to different schools across the road from each other that shared Sixth Form classes, where they met in an A Level History class. There was lots of childish flirting (Tom did not – repeat did not – pour Jelly Totts sugar into Jess’ hair….I remember when I was 5), literally “some” banter, many games of MSN Chequers (Remember MSN Messenger!?) and the rest….is….History……No? I’ll leave.

2017/2018

I Guess We're Going Out?

Tom and Jess got together “officially” (It was official on Facebook and everything – pretty serious stuff) on the 28th May 2008, a time when MySpace was still a thing and Madonna and Scooter were in the charts alongside Rihanna (the golden era…). That’s 11 years ago (in case you can’t count) and in that time they’ve had many amazing memories and have gone from looking “about 12” to “about 14”, no mean feat. Good and bad times have passed but their love for each other is as strong as ever! Nawwww (please feel free to use the provided sick bag).

Mortgage Sweet Mortgage

In 2016 Tom and Jess brought an apartment together, because who needs disposable income anyway! The flat was a new build and was 6 months late, resulting in Tom’s Nan’s garage becoming a storage warehouse (thanks Nanna!), and the process of buying a property officially “un-fun”, but eventually it got there and they have been struggling to find time to decorate and clean it ever since. Moving in together has been one of the best decisions ever made and has allowed them to spend even more quality time together…falling asleep on each other in front of the television (damn adulting is tiring work!).

THE Engagement

On the 16th July, Tom got down on one knee and (nearly didn’t get back up) proposed to Jess! This took place at Dartmouth Castle (pictured) whilst on a family holiday, a place which had family significance to Tom as his Grandfather’s ashes are buried there. This was a surprise to all but Tom’s big sister Laura who helped pick out the ring, stored it in her handbag on the day and passed it to Tom behind his back like some life changing Baton of love (Baton of Love….come on, keep it clean lads) for the big moment. There were plenty of tears for Tom’s family who were present and ever since that day Tom and Jess have been planning this website….Oh and a wedding!

JULY / 6TH / 2018

Don't Miss It!

Our special day takes place on the 19th March, 2022, which as you can see from the scarily ever changing small number below – isn’t that far away! We are so excited to share this day with you and look forward to dancing the night away with our favourite people.

The Big Day!

The wedding and reception will both take place at Hogarth’s Hotel in Solihull.

The Venue

Hogarth’s is located in Solihull, around half an hour from Sutton Coldfield, and just off the M42 (some might say a classic Motorway). The wedding event itself will take place outside, so although the seating is under cover, please do dress appropriately for the day – No mini skirts if it’s cold….Dad.

Party Time

The reception will take place at Hogarth’s too, with the evening Tom/Jess-foolery beginning at 7:30pm. There is plenty of parking available, but also plenty of drinking available, so we have been assured Uber’s and taxi’s are available in the area if needs be (stay safe kids)! Entertainment and food will be provided, so bring your loose trousers, your beer goggles and your dancing shoes.

Somewhere to Rest your Head

Accommodation is also available at Hogarth’s (although this is filling up quickly!), so you can roll into bed after a hard day watching two people who look like children still tie the knot, perfect! Please call 01564779988 and quote “Tom and Jess’ Wedding 20th March 2021” to reception to make sure you get a room (these are being refurbished shortly before the wedding too!). Alternative accommodation can be found nearby should this be fully booked.

We Hope you Can Join Us

Gifts?

We’ve lived together a year or two, we don’t really need anything new,
yet if a gift is your intention, we thought we would mention,
we’d love some pennies to put together, to save for something that we will treasure,
And just remember what means the most, is that you’re with us to raise a toast!
