Our Love Story
How We Met
Tom and Jess met in Sixth Form. They both went to different schools across the road from each other that shared Sixth Form classes, where they met in an A Level History class. There was lots of childish flirting (Tom did not – repeat did not – pour Jelly Totts sugar into Jess’ hair….I remember when I was 5), literally “some” banter, many games of MSN Chequers (Remember MSN Messenger!?) and the rest….is….History……No? I’ll leave.

I Guess We're Going Out?
Tom and Jess got together “officially” (It was official on Facebook and everything – pretty serious stuff) on the 28th May 2008, a time when MySpace was still a thing and Madonna and Scooter were in the charts alongside Rihanna (the golden era…). That’s 11 years ago (in case you can’t count) and in that time they’ve had many amazing memories and have gone from looking “about 12” to “about 14”, no mean feat. Good and bad times have passed but their love for each other is as strong as ever! Nawwww (please feel free to use the provided sick bag).

Mortgage Sweet Mortgage
In 2016 Tom and Jess brought an apartment together, because who needs disposable income anyway! The flat was a new build and was 6 months late, resulting in Tom’s Nan’s garage becoming a storage warehouse (thanks Nanna!), and the process of buying a property officially “un-fun”, but eventually it got there and they have been struggling to find time to decorate and clean it ever since. Moving in together has been one of the best decisions ever made and has allowed them to spend even more quality time together…falling asleep on each other in front of the television (damn adulting is tiring work!).

THE Engagement
On the 16th July, Tom got down on one knee and (nearly didn’t get back up) proposed to Jess! This took place at Dartmouth Castle (pictured) whilst on a family holiday, a place which had family significance to Tom as his Grandfather’s ashes are buried there. This was a surprise to all but Tom’s big sister Laura who helped pick out the ring, stored it in her handbag on the day and passed it to Tom behind his back like some life changing Baton of love (Baton of Love….come on, keep it clean lads) for the big moment. There were plenty of tears for Tom’s family who were present and ever since that day Tom and Jess have been planning this website….Oh and a wedding!
